Carla Faulkner – Scottish Landscape Artist
About Carla Faulkner
Carla Faulkner was born in mid-Wales, grew up in Boat of Garten in the Cairngorms and now lives in the shadow of the Campsie hills North of Glasgow. She has been painting the Scottish Landscape since age 13. The vastness of inspiration from bleak moors to bustling city streets, all made wonderous by the fleeting light and shifting weather means there is always something more to capture.
Carla is fascinated by Scottish folklore and the connections between land, people and industry. She is interested in our sense of place and time in the landscape. Exploring our perception of beauty in the landscape, she seeks to understand our relationship with the man made objects and the marks we leave on it.
